Pace sensation credits Bangladesh bowling coach after bagging second consecutive POTS award
Bangladesh pace bowling sensation Nahid Rana credited national team's fast bowling Shaun Tait for helping him grow without complicating things for him.
Earlier during the ODI series against New Zealand, Tait that Rana needed to keep things simple. Rana, who bagged back-to-back Player of the Series awards against Pakistan and New Zealand, echoed the same sentiment.
"He (Tait) thinks exactly the same way as I do and he lets me think in my way," Rana told T-Sports after earning the Player of the Series award against New Zealand on Thursday.
"He sees how I want to earn success and he tries to nurture that which is something I like a lot," he said.
"My mentality and his mentality is quite the same and when we work together in practice it becomes easy as we think along the same line," he said.
The 23-year old Rana said that playing with Mustafizur Rahman was like a dream come true having looked up to him, while adding that the left-arm pacer always helps him with ideas when he asks for it in the middle.
"Actually, being able to play with him (Mustafizur) is somewhat close to the word dream," said Rana who was seen talking at length with Mustafizur during the third ODI against New Zealand.
"When I was a kid, pace bowlers meant Mustafizur bhai and Taskin (Ahmed) bhai and I mostly used to watch them. In my childhood when I used to watch them play I never thought I would play international cricket with them," he said.
"To be honest it's something that makes me feel really positive and I always try to learn something from Fizz bhai and he always willingly helps me and everyone. So when I need help or advice in the field I go to him and he gives advice about what's good to do or not," he added.
Rana, who has been rested from the three-match T20I series to manage his workload, was by the BCB for the Pakistan Super League along with Mustafizur Rahman as the board insisted they want to give him adequate time to prepare for the Test series against Pakistan, scheduled in May.
