Transformers and Rectifiers (India) Ltd. announced a significant project order from Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Ltd. (MEIL) for manufacturing transformers, valued between Rs 100 crore and Rs 500 crore. The order, classified as large, is expected to be executed over the next 35 months, according to an exchange filing.
The company emphasized that the order is part of its regular business operations and does not involve any related-party transactions. This development underscores Transformers and Rectifiers' commitment to delivering high-quality products and maintaining its leading position in the transformer manufacturing sector in India.
In a separate announcement, the company revealed its strategic entry into the nuclear power sector with a landmark order from the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL). This order involves the supply of generator transformers for the Kaiga Units 5 & 6 nuclear power project in Karnataka, marking the company's first foray into this critical sector.

The Kaiga project, part of India's indigenous 700 MWe Pressurised Heavy Water Reactors (PHWRs) program, aims to bolster the country's nuclear power capacity and domestic manufacturing capabilities. The generator transformers will play a crucial role in integrating the power generated by these units into the transmission network.
Transformers and Rectifiers' shares have seen a 5.45% increase over the past month, despite a 36.22% decline over the past year. However, the stock has surged 441% over three years and 2,136% over five years, reflecting strong long-term growth.
