The Rs 1,617.48-crore IPO of Shiprocket, open from August 12 to August 14, witnessed overwhelming investor interest, being subscribed 99.38 times. The strong demand was led by qualified institutional buyers (QIBs), whose portion was subscribed 122.80 times.

The non-institutional investor (NII) segment saw a subscription of 88.99 times, while the retail portion was subscribed 46.42 times. Shiprocket had set the IPO price band at Rs 92–Rs 97 per equity share, attracting significant interest due to backing from marquee investors like Temasek and Eternal.

Prior to the public issue, Shiprocket raised Rs 727.41 crore from anchor investors by allotting 7.50 crore equity shares at Rs 97 each, the upper end of the price band. The IPO consisted of a fresh issue of 9.13 crore equity shares worth Rs 885.60 crore and an offer for sale of 7.55 crore shares worth Rs 731.98 crore.

Axis Capital Ltd. served as the book-running lead manager for the issue, with Kfin Technologies Ltd. as the registrar. The proceeds from the IPO will be used to enhance technology infrastructure, expand operations, and fund marketing and brand-building activities.

Shiprocket plans to allocate Rs 294 crore for marketing, Rs 211 crore for technology enhancement, and Rs 210 crore for debt repayment. Remaining funds will be directed towards potential acquisitions and general corporate purposes.

As a technology-led e-commerce enablement platform, Shiprocket supports over 145,000 active merchants. The company facilitates online and offline commerce through a suite of solutions, including shipping, payments, and fulfilment services.
