A surge of Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) is set to hit the Indian market next week, with 16 new issues collectively aiming to raise Rs 7,200 crore. This rush follows a robust revival in the primary market during July and August, driven by strong investor interest in mid-sized IPOs and improved domestic liquidity.

Pranav Constructions will kick off its Rs 351 crore IPO on September 7, with a price band of Rs 118-124 per share. The issue includes fresh capital of Rs 315.6 crore and an offer for sale of Rs 35.43 crore. Following closely, Glass Wall Systems, Prasol Chemicals, and Kanohar Electricals will open their IPOs on September 8, aiming to raise Rs 427.89 crore, Rs 500 crore, and Rs 1,055.74 crore respectively. Rentomojo, the largest issue of the week, plans to raise Rs 1,255.57 crore starting September 9.

Karamtara Engineering will also launch its Rs 875 crore IPO on September 9, with a price band of Rs 241-254. Other notable issues include Manipal Payment & Identity Solutions at Rs 805 crore and Asset Reconstruction Company (India) at Rs 732.97 crore. Additional mainboard issues feature LCC Projects, Steamhouse India, Veegaland Developers, and Manika Plastech.

Grey market premiums (GMP) indicate strong investor interest, with Rentomojo commanding a 38% premium, followed by Kanohar Electricals at 32% and Glass Wall Systems at 27%. These premiums suggest expectations of listing gains, although actual performance will depend on market conditions and subscription demand.

The SME segment is also active, with Apana Logistics opening a Rs 34.14 crore issue on September 7. Amtech Esters, Vinod Texworld, and Infrax Renewable will follow on September 9, indicating a diversified IPO pipeline across various sectors.

Background

The upcoming week will test the market's capacity to absorb this influx of IPOs, following a period of strong demand and positive listing performances in recent months.

Investors will be keenly watching subscription levels and market conditions as these issues unfold.
