The IPO, open from August 3 to August 5, saw the retail portion subscribed 104.22 times, while Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIB) and Non-Institutional Investors (NII) categories were subscribed 164.56 times and 233.36 times, respectively.

The Rs 177.81 crore public issue included a fresh issue of 53 lakh equity shares worth Rs 142.69 crore and an Offer for Sale (OFS) of 13 lakh shares aggregating to Rs 35.12 crore. Priced between Rs 257 and Rs 270 per share, the IPO's strong subscription and a grey market premium (GMP) of Rs 58 suggest a listing price of approximately Rs 328 per share, indicating a 21% premium over the upper price band.

Hem Securities managed the book-running for the issue, while Bigshare Services Pvt. Ltd. served as the registrar. Despite the promising GMP, investors are cautioned that grey market trends are unofficial and can fluctuate based on market conditions and sentiment.

Proceeds from the IPO will primarily be used to reduce Anawil Wire & Engineering's debt by approximately Rs 115 crore, enhancing the company's balance sheet and potentially lowering finance costs. Remaining funds will support general corporate purposes.
