About

A stylish right-handed batter, Angkrish Raghuvanshi stepped into the limelight with his performances in the 2022 U19 World Cup where he finished as India's highest run-scorer in their title-winning campaign.

Originally from Delhi, Raghuvanshi moved to Mumbai at the age of 11 and started training under Abhishek Nayar, who played a big role in his development. He attended the same school as Rohit Sharma and impressed the coach enough that the coach saw similarities between the two.

After the breakthrough U19 World Cup campaign, Raghuvanshi made his debut for Mumbai in the 2023-24 season. He also secured an IPL contract that year, getting picked up by KKR where Nayar was part of the coaching setup. It took little time for him to show he belonged in the big league. Raghuvanshi became the youngest player to score a fifty in his maiden IPL innings when he struck a quickfire 54 off just 27 balls against the Delhi Capitals.
