Kumar Kushagra is a wicketkeeper-batter who plays domestically for Jharkhand. He was part of the Indian Under-19 World Cup squad in 2022 where his team were the runners-up. In his maiden Ranji season, he grabbed the headlines when he notched up a double-century in the pre-quarterfinal against Nagaland by scoring 266 off 269 deliveries.

Kushagra was bagged by Delhi Capitals for INR 7.20 crore in the 2024 IPL auction shortly after his 36-ball 67* against Maharashtra in a Vijay Hazare Trophy encounter. He had a forgettable start to his IPL career as he returned with scores of 0, 1 and 2 in three outings in 2024 IPL. Gujarat Titans bought him in the 2025 IPL auction for INR 65 lakh.
