A staunchly built utility all-rounder, Ramandeep Singh hails from Chandigarh and is known for his power game with the bat and excellence in the field. Primarily a middle-order basher, Ramandeep developed his skills with the ball to become a highly sought-after commodity in T20 cricket - a pace-bowling all-rounder. Playing for Punjab, he picked up a hat-trick in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2022, with Ambati Rayudu among his victims. His domestic exploits earned him a contract with Mumbai Indians in 2022 for INR 20 lakh, but limited opportunities meant he had to wait for a consistent run.

A move to Kolkata Knight Riders in 2024 turned out to be the breakthrough phase of his IPL journey. Featuring in all matches during KKR’s title-winning campaign, Ramandeep carved a niche for himself as a dependable lower-order enforcer. He scored 125 runs at a strike rate in excess of 200, numbers that showcase his role as an impact player rather than a volume accumulator. His cameos, often in high-pressure situations, provided crucial late-innings momentum, while his athleticism in the field added further value.

His consistent performances did not go unnoticed, earning him a call-up to India A for the Emerging Men’s Asia Cup, and subsequent strong outings paved the way for his maiden senior India selection in a T20I series against South Africa - a testament to his rapid rise through the ranks.
