MI rope in Krish Bhagat for injured Ankolekar

Mumbai Indians have signed 21-year-old Punjab all-rounder Krish Bhagat as a replacement for Atharva Ankolekar who has been ruled out of the IPL due to an unspecified injury.

Ankolekar, a left-arm spin all-rounder from Mumbai, has represented India at the Under 19 level. He was bought by the Mumbai Indians for his base price of INR 30 lakh at this year's auction.

Primarily a right-arm pacer who can also contribute with the bat lower down the order, Bhagat has represented Punjab in seven first-class and nine List-A matches. He had attended MI's trials for the last two seasons and had already been with the team as a net bowler this season.

Bhagat will join MI at his base price of INR 30 lakh.
