Matt Henry has failed to recover from a left calf strain suffered during the second ODI
New Zealand have given Kristian Clarke of Northern Districts his maiden ODI call up, replacing the injured Matt Henry ahead of the third and final ODI against England in Wellington on Sunday (November 2).
Henry has been ruled out after failing to recover from a left calf strain suffered during the second ODI in Hamilton. He will return to Christchurch on Friday (October 31).
The 24-year-old Clarke enters the national side setup on the back of strong domestic form, having scored his maiden List A hundred and taken 3 for 57 in the Ford Trophy on Thursday to help Northern Districts beat Central Stags.
Clarke was part of New Zealand's squad at the Under-19 World Cup in 2020, where he showed his all-round wares. Since 2022, he has been an all-format player for Noethern Districts and even toured Bangladesh with the New Zealand A side earlier this year.
