England smashed 304/2 - the first-ever 300-plus total in a T20I against a Full Member team

Stats highlights from England's record breaking efforts in the second T20I against South Africa in Manchester.

The previous highest total for England was 267/3 against West Indies in Tarouba in 2023 while the most recorded against South Africa was India's 283/1 in Johannesburg in 2024.

It is the fifth highest individual score by a player from a Full Member team and the highest against South Africa, surpassing Babar Azam's 122 in Centurion in 2021.

Centuries in just 42 innings in T20Is for Salt - only Glenn Maxwell and Rohit Sharma have scored more (five each), while Suryakumar Yadav also has four. 42 innings by Salt is the quickest to the fourth hundred among the four, 15 better than Suryakumar, who got there in his 57th outing.

The first wicket stand of 126 off just 47 balls between Jos Buttler and Salt - run rate of 16.06 - is the highest ever for a 100+ opening partnership in a T20I by a Full member side. It is the fourth 100+ stand in just 17 innings in the format between the pair.

Instances of South Africa bowlers conceding 60+ runs - 70 by Rabada, 62 by Williams, and 60 by Jansen - the first such instance in a T20I. 70 runs conceded by Rabada is the most ever by a South African bowler in a T20I. Lizaad Williams conceded 62 runs in his first three overs - only Liam McCarthy has conceded more after first three overs (63 vs WI, Dublin, Bready, 2025) among bowlers from a Full member side.

The winning margin for England - the highest ever by runs margin for them in a T20I surpassing the 137-run win against West Indies in Basseterre in 2019. It also happens to be the biggest defeat for South Africa by runs, going past the 135-run defeat to India in Johannesburg in 2024.
